Randy said it, I was sad when I realized Diana was not memorialized in the Tattler. I didn't know her very week, but we worked together at Grants and sat next to each other in homeroom for three years, so we had many times of talks and silliness. I remember her as being very funny and willing to listen to my "boy problems." Being young, I didn't totally grasp the seriousness of her I'll was until I heard she had died. It was a shock. I have thought of her many times over the years when working with teens, and a few especially who fought that awful battle w cancer. I hope somehow she knows I never forgot her.

Diana was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia in October 1970 and died seven months later in April 1971. During those seven months, Diana endured debilitating rounds of chemo that caused her to lose her hair and prevented her from attending her senior year at LHS.  All of us remember the horrible tragedy that took the lives of classmates Jan Boxell and Scott Laing, and seriously injured Lisa Terry and Irenda Miller. But, I wonder how many of us remember Diana, her battle with cancer, and her untimely death during our senior year? Unfortunately, Diana was not remembered in the '71 Tattler. How sad.
