Sara Beth White Stewart was born into this life in 1953 to her parents Mr. & Mrrs. Herbert White in Logansport. As a teenager, she was born into a relationship with Jesus Christ and became active in Teen Witness.

Her love for Jesus led her first to Oral Roberts University. Her love for plants and flowers then led her to Purdue to major in Landscape Architecture and then to Iowa State. At Iowa State, she met her husband, Scott Stewart. They were married while still in school. She presented Scott  with a daughter, Katie, as a college graduation present.

Sara not only poured her life into her family; she was always reaching out to others. She was active at the Mason City, Iowa Assembly of God. It was there that the first prayers for a son were raised (doctors did not think that Sara would have other children). When she and Scott moved to the Chicago area in 1982, she began working at the Mt. Prospect Assembly of God. Sara was instrumental in launching Operation Barnabas. This was a ministry to the needs of the local congregation and also then as an outreach to people in need in the community.

Encouragement was always a part of Sara's character. God blessed her with Sean in 1983. In January of 1986, Sara and family moved to Naperville, IL. Because they lived in the first house built in a new section, Sara met and evangelized every new woman that moved into her Placer Court development. A neighborhood women's bible group was formed. God again blessed her, and many strong, lasting relationships were formed with fellow Christains in those early days.

This group's interest in beginning a Women's Bible Study brought Sara to Living Water Assembly of God in Naperville for the first time. She persuaded Scott to visit Living Water and with one visit, they found a new church home. That was in 1987. Sara was involved in many ares at Living Water. She became involved with the Home Support Group in Naperville which blossomed into many friendships and led Sara to start the music ministry section of the Children's Church.

Sara and Scott later taught Sunday School for the juniors' class for approximately 2 years. Even while battling ovarian cancer, her heart was looking for opportunites to serve the church and others. In her last year, she planned, designed, and helped build the wall and landscaping around the church sign.
